Description

A delightful treat combining chocolate, peanut butter, and bananas, offering a healthier alternative to traditional candy bars.

Ingredients

  • 3 large ripe bananas
  • 1/2 cup creamy peanut butter
  • 1/3 cup chopped roasted peanuts
  • 1 1/2 cups dark chocolate chips
  • 1 tablespoon coconut oil
  • 2 tablespoons caramel sauce
  • 1/4 teaspoon sea salt
  • 1/4 cup chopped mini pretzels (optional)

Instructions

  1. Peel the bananas and cut each in half crosswise, then slice them lengthwise to make 12 pieces.
  2. Spread a generous layer of peanut butter on each banana piece.
  3. Sprinkle chopped roasted peanuts and caramel sauce over the peanut butter layer. Add chopped pretzels for extra crunch if desired.
  4. Place the banana pieces on a parchment-lined tray and freeze for at least 30 minutes until firm.
  5. Melt chocolate chips and coconut oil together until smooth.
  6. Dip each frozen banana piece into the melted chocolate, coating completely.
  7. Sprinkle with sea salt and return to the freezer for at least 10 minutes or until the chocolate is set.
  8. Serve frozen and enjoy!

Notes

Store in an airtight container in the freezer for up to a month, and separate layers with parchment paper to avoid sticking.
