A delightful treat combining chocolate, peanut butter, and bananas, offering a healthier alternative to traditional candy bars.
Ingredients
- 3 large ripe bananas
- 1/2 cup creamy peanut butter
- 1/3 cup chopped roasted peanuts
- 1 1/2 cups dark chocolate chips
- 1 tablespoon coconut oil
- 2 tablespoons caramel sauce
- 1/4 teaspoon sea salt
- 1/4 cup chopped mini pretzels (optional)
Instructions
- Peel the bananas and cut each in half crosswise, then slice them lengthwise to make 12 pieces.
- Spread a generous layer of peanut butter on each banana piece.
- Sprinkle chopped roasted peanuts and caramel sauce over the peanut butter layer. Add chopped pretzels for extra crunch if desired.
- Place the banana pieces on a parchment-lined tray and freeze for at least 30 minutes until firm.
- Melt chocolate chips and coconut oil together until smooth.
- Dip each frozen banana piece into the melted chocolate, coating completely.
- Sprinkle with sea salt and return to the freezer for at least 10 minutes or until the chocolate is set.
- Serve frozen and enjoy!
Notes
Store in an airtight container in the freezer for up to a month, and separate layers with parchment paper to avoid sticking.
