Description

A delightful dish featuring tender chicken thighs in a rich and creamy Dijon mustard sauce, perfect for impressing guests or enjoying a special meal at home.

Ingredients

  • 4 chicken thighs
  • 2 tablespoons Dijon mustard
  • 2 tablespoons whole grain mustard
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 1 cup chicken broth
  • 1 onion, chopped
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Fresh parsley for garnish

Instructions

  1. Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat. Season the chicken thighs with salt and pepper, then add them to the skillet, skin-side down. Cook until browned, about 5-7 minutes per side. Remove the chicken and set aside.
  2. In the same skillet, add chopped onion and minced garlic, and sauté until softened.
  3. Stir in the Dijon and whole grain mustard, then pour in the chicken broth and heavy cream. Mix well.
  4. Return the chicken to the skillet, skin-side up. Cover and let simmer for about 30 minutes, until the chicken is cooked through and tender.
  5. Garnish with fresh parsley before serving.

Notes

For added flavor, marinate the chicken in mustard for an hour. You can customize the dish with different chicken cuts or add mushrooms for extra taste.
