A comforting and quick Ground Beef Stroganoff recipe featuring a creamy sauce and tender beef, perfect for weeknight dinners.
Ingredients
- 1 lb ground beef
- 1 medium onion, finely chopped
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 8 oz mushrooms, sliced
- 1 cup beef broth
- 1 cup sour cream
- 2 teaspoons Worcestershire sauce
- 1 teaspoon Dijon mustard
- Salt and pepper to taste
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- 3 cups cooked egg noodles
- Fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)
Instructions
- In a large skillet over medium heat, warm the olive oil. Add the ground beef, season with salt and pepper, and cook until browned, breaking it up with a spoon.
- Once the beef is cooked through, add the chopped onion and minced garlic. Sauté until the onion is translucent, about 3-4 minutes.
- Add the sliced mushrooms to the skillet and cook until tender, about 5 minutes.
- Pour in the beef broth, Worcestershire sauce, and Dijon mustard. Stir well and let the mixture simmer for about 5 minutes.
- Lower the heat and stir in the sour cream until well combined. Heat through but do not boil.
- Add the cooked egg noodles to the skillet, tossing them in the creamy sauce until evenly coated.
- Garnish with chopped parsley before serving.
