Description
A quick and comforting dish of ground beef, mushrooms, and creamy sauce served over egg noodles.
Ingredients
- 1 pound ground beef
- 1 medium onion, chopped
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 16 ounces mushrooms, sliced
- 2 cups beef broth
- 1 cup sour cream
- 2 tablespoons all-purpose flour
- 1 teaspoon Worcestershire sauce
- Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions
- In a large skillet, brown the ground beef over medium heat. Add the chopped onion and minced garlic and cook until the meat is no longer pink and onions are soft.
- Add the sliced mushrooms to the skillet and cook until they’ve softened and released their juices.
- Sprinkle the flour over the beef and mushroom mixture and stir it in to thicken the sauce.
- Gradually pour in the beef broth, scraping up any brown bits stuck to the bottom. Bring to a simmer until slightly thickened.
- Stir in the Worcestershire sauce and sour cream, mixing until creamy. Season with salt and pepper to taste.
- Serve the beef stroganoff over cooked egg noodles, garnished with steamed green beans.
