Description

A simple yet delicious ground beef stroganoff that’s perfect for a quick dinner. Creamy, savory, and ready in no time!

Ingredients

  • 1 pound ground beef
  • 1 medium onion, diced
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 8 ounces mushrooms, sliced
  • 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 cup beef broth
  • 1 cup sour cream
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 8 ounces egg noodles or pasta of choice
  • Fresh parsley, for garnish (optional)

Instructions

  1. In a large pot of boiling salted water, cook the egg noodles according to package instructions. Drain and set aside.
  2. In a large skillet, heat a tablespoon of oil over medium heat. Add the diced onion and cook for about 3 minutes until soft and translucent.
  3. Add minced garlic and sliced mushrooms to the skillet, cooking for another 5 minutes until mushrooms are tender.
  4. Push the vegetables to the side and add ground beef to the skillet. Break apart with a spoon and cook for about 5 to 7 minutes until browned.
  5. Stir in Worcestershire sauce and beef broth. Simmer for 5 minutes until the mixture slightly thickens.
  6. Remove from heat and stir in sour cream until creamy. Season with salt and pepper to taste.
  7. Toss the cooked noodles with the beef sauce and garnish with fresh parsley if desired. Serve immediately.

Notes

Ensure not to overcook the mushrooms and onions. Always remove from heat before adding sour cream to avoid curdling.
