A simple and delicious recipe for chicken fajitas made effortlessly in a crockpot.
Ingredients
- 1 lb boneless, skinless chicken breasts
- 1 bell pepper, sliced
- 1 onion, sliced
- 1 packet fajita seasoning
- 1 cup salsa
- Tortillas (for serving)
- Toppings: sour cream, cheese, avocado, or others
Instructions
- Place the chicken breasts in the crockpot.
- Add the sliced bell pepper and onion on top of the chicken.
- Sprinkle the fajita seasoning over the ingredients, then pour the salsa on top.
- Cover and cook on low for 5 to 6 hours or high for 3 to 4 hours, until the chicken is cooked through.
- Shred the chicken inside the crockpot and stir well.
- Serve in tortillas with your favorite toppings.
Notes
Feel free to substitute chicken thighs for extra juiciness or use different vegetables based on availability. Make this recipe vegetarian by using black beans or lentils.
