Description
A cozy and satisfying chicken casserole that’s easy to prepare with minimal cleanup.
Ingredients
- 2 cups cooked chicken
- 1 can cream of chicken soup
- 1 cup sour cream
- 1 cup shredded cheese
- 1 cup frozen mixed vegetables (optional)
- 1 package (about 6 oz) stuffing mix
- 1/2 cup chicken broth
- Salt and pepper to taste
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
- In a large mixing bowl, combine the cooked chicken, cream of chicken soup, sour cream, half of the shredded cheese, and frozen vegetables. Stir until well mixed.
- Season with salt and pepper.
- Spread the chicken mixture into a greased 9×13 inch baking dish.
- In another bowl, mix the stuffing mix with chicken broth until moistened. Spread evenly over the chicken mixture.
- Top with the remaining shredded cheese.
- Cover with foil and bake for 30 minutes. Remove the foil and bake for an additional 15 minutes, or until bubbly and golden.
- Let it cool slightly before serving.
Notes
You can substitute turkey or hearty veggies for chicken, and use cream of mushroom or broccoli soup if preferred.
