Description

A flavor-packed casserole featuring chicken, beef bacon, and ranch seasoning, topped with crispy tater tots.


Ingredients

  • 1 pound cooked chicken, chopped or shredded
  • 1 pound beef bacon, cooked and crumbled
  • 16 ounces sour cream
  • 1 can cream of chicken soup
  • 1 packet ranch seasoning mix
  • 2 cups shredded cheddar cheese
  • 32 ounces frozen tater tots
  • 2 tablespoons reserved crumbled beef bacon
  • 2 tablespoons sliced green onions


Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C) and lightly grease a 9×13 inch baking dish.
  2. In a large mixing bowl, combine sour cream, cream of chicken soup, and ranch seasoning mix until smooth.
  3. Add cooked chicken, three-quarters of the beef bacon, and 1.5 cups of cheddar cheese to the mixture, gently folding until evenly coated.
  4. Spread the mixture evenly into the prepared baking dish and arrange the frozen tater tots in a single layer on top.
  5. Sprinkle the remaining 0.5 cup of shredded cheddar cheese and reserved beef bacon over the tater tots.
  6. Bake for 30 to 40 minutes or until golden brown and bubbling.
  7. Remove from the oven and let rest for 5-10 minutes before serving, garnished with sliced green onions.

Notes

Make sure to preheat the oven and allow the casserole to rest before serving to avoid burns from hot cheese.
