A flavor-packed casserole featuring chicken, beef bacon, and ranch seasoning, topped with crispy tater tots.
Ingredients
- 1 pound cooked chicken, chopped or shredded
- 1 pound beef bacon, cooked and crumbled
- 16 ounces sour cream
- 1 can cream of chicken soup
- 1 packet ranch seasoning mix
- 2 cups shredded cheddar cheese
- 32 ounces frozen tater tots
- 2 tablespoons reserved crumbled beef bacon
- 2 tablespoons sliced green onions
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C) and lightly grease a 9×13 inch baking dish.
- In a large mixing bowl, combine sour cream, cream of chicken soup, and ranch seasoning mix until smooth.
- Add cooked chicken, three-quarters of the beef bacon, and 1.5 cups of cheddar cheese to the mixture, gently folding until evenly coated.
- Spread the mixture evenly into the prepared baking dish and arrange the frozen tater tots in a single layer on top.
- Sprinkle the remaining 0.5 cup of shredded cheddar cheese and reserved beef bacon over the tater tots.
- Bake for 30 to 40 minutes or until golden brown and bubbling.
- Remove from the oven and let rest for 5-10 minutes before serving, garnished with sliced green onions.
Notes
Make sure to preheat the oven and allow the casserole to rest before serving to avoid burns from hot cheese.
