Description
A creamy, rich beef stroganoff that’s simple to make and perfect for a comforting meal.
Ingredients
- 1 pound beef sirloin, thinly sliced
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- 1 onion, chopped
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 8 ounces mushrooms, sliced
- 2 cups beef broth
- 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
- 1 cup Greek yogurt
- Salt and pepper to taste
- Egg noodles or rice, for serving
- Chopped parsley, for garnish
Instructions
- In a large skillet, heat the olive oil over medium-high heat. Add the beef and cook until browned. Remove from the skillet and set aside.
- In the same skillet, add the onion and garlic, cooking until softened.
- Add the mushrooms and sauté until they release their moisture.
- Stir in the beef broth and Worcestershire sauce, bringing to a simmer.
- Return the beef to the skillet and cook for an additional 5 minutes.
- Remove from heat and stir in the Greek yogurt until well combined.
- Season with salt and pepper to taste.
- Serve over egg noodles or rice and garnish with chopped parsley.
Notes
For gluten-free options, substitute with rice instead of egg noodles.
