A quick and easy Beef Stroganoff recipe that packs comfort and flavor without the fuss.
Ingredients
- 1 pound beef sirloin or tenderloin, sliced thinly
- 1 cup mushrooms, sliced
- 1 onion, chopped
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 cup beef broth
- 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
- 1 cup sour cream
- 2 tablespoons flour
- 2 tablespoons butter
- Salt and pepper to taste
- Cooked egg noodles
Instructions
- Heat butter in a large skillet over medium heat until melted.
- Add the onions and garlic; cook until soft, about 3-4 minutes.
- Add sliced beef and stir until browned on all sides.
- Sprinkle flour over the beef and mix well.
- Add mushrooms and mix everything together.
- Pour in beef broth and add Worcestershire sauce; bring to a simmer.
- Reduce heat and stir in sour cream until fully combined.
- Season with salt and pepper to taste.
- Serve over cooked egg noodles and enjoy.
Notes
Avoid skipping the flour for a well-thickened sauce. Keep an eye on the beef to prevent overcooking.
