A quick and delicious Beef Stroganoff recipe that’s simple to make and tastes like you’ve spent hours in the kitchen.
Ingredients
- 1 pound beef sirloin, sliced
- 1 onion, diced
- 2 cups mushrooms, sliced
- 2 cups beef broth
- 1 cup sour cream
- 2 tablespoons flour
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- Salt and pepper to taste
- Egg noodles or rice for serving
Instructions
- In a large skillet, heat olive oil over medium-high heat.
- Add sliced beef and cook until browned; remove and set aside.
- In the same skillet, toss in the diced onion and sliced mushrooms. Cook until tender.
- Stir in flour and mix well with the vegetables.
- Gradually add beef broth while stirring and let the sauce thicken.
- Lower the heat and stir in sour cream.
- Return the beef to the skillet and heat it through.
- Season with salt and pepper, then serve over egg noodles or rice.
Notes
For variations, you can use chicken or tofu in place of beef, and Greek yogurt instead of sour cream.
