Description

A super simple and delicious recipe for Beef Stroganoff that is quick and comforting.


Ingredients

  • 1 lb beef sirloin, sliced
  • 1 onion, chopped
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 8 oz mushrooms, sliced
  • 1 cup beef broth
  • 1 cup sour cream
  • 2 tbsp flour
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Egg noodles or mashed potatoes for serving


Instructions

  1. In a large skillet, heat some oil over medium heat. Add the sliced beef and cook until browned.
  2. Remove the beef and set aside. In the same skillet, add onions and garlic, and sauté until translucent.
  3. Add the sliced mushrooms and cook until they release moisture.
  4. Sprinkle the flour over the mushroom mixture and stir to combine.
  5. Gradually add beef broth, stirring until thickened.
  6. Stir in sour cream and return the beef to the skillet; heat through.
  7. Season with salt and pepper, and serve over egg noodles or mashed potatoes.
