A quick and comforting beef stroganoff that’s packed with flavors and easy to prepare, perfect for busy days.
Ingredients
- 1 lb beef sirloin, sliced
- 1 onion, chopped
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 8 oz mushrooms, sliced
- 2 cups beef broth
- 1 cup sour cream
- 2 tablespoons flour
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- Salt and pepper to taste
- Egg noodles or pasta, for serving
Instructions
- In a large skillet, heat olive oil over medium heat. Add the sliced beef and cook until browned. Remove and set aside.
- In the same skillet, add onions, garlic, and mushrooms. Cook until soft.
- Stir in flour and cook for an additional minute.
- Gradually add beef broth, stirring to combine until the mixture thickens.
- Reduce the heat and stir in sour cream. Add the cooked beef back to the skillet, seasoning with salt and pepper.
- Serve over cooked egg noodles or pasta.
Notes
Avoid skipping the browning step for the beef and don’t be stingy with the sour cream for the best results.
