Description

A quick and comforting beef stroganoff that’s packed with flavors and easy to prepare, perfect for busy days.


Ingredients

  • 1 lb beef sirloin, sliced
  • 1 onion, chopped
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 8 oz mushrooms, sliced
  • 2 cups beef broth
  • 1 cup sour cream
  • 2 tablespoons flour
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Egg noodles or pasta, for serving


Instructions

  1. In a large skillet, heat olive oil over medium heat. Add the sliced beef and cook until browned. Remove and set aside.
  2. In the same skillet, add onions, garlic, and mushrooms. Cook until soft.
  3. Stir in flour and cook for an additional minute.
  4. Gradually add beef broth, stirring to combine until the mixture thickens.
  5. Reduce the heat and stir in sour cream. Add the cooked beef back to the skillet, seasoning with salt and pepper.
  6. Serve over cooked egg noodles or pasta.

Notes

Avoid skipping the browning step for the beef and don’t be stingy with the sour cream for the best results.
