Description

A spicy and crispy chicken dish that is easy to prepare and packs a punch.

Ingredients

  • 500g chicken, cut into bite-sized pieces
  • 2 tablespoons cornflour
  • 1 tablespoon soy sauce
  • 1 tablespoon garlic, minced
  • 1 tablespoon ginger, minced
  • 2 tablespoons oil
  • 1 onion, chopped
  • 1 bell pepper, chopped
  • 2-3 green chilies, slit
  • 2 tablespoons sweet chili sauce
  • 1 tablespoon chili sauce
  • 1 tablespoon vinegar
  • Salt to taste
  • Chopped green onions for garnish

Instructions

  1. In a bowl, marinate the chicken pieces with cornflour, soy sauce, garlic, and ginger. Let it sit for at least 30 minutes.
  2. Heat oil in a pan and fry the marinated chicken pieces until golden and crispy. Remove and set aside.
  3. In the same pan, add onions and bell peppers. Sauté until soft.
  4. Add the green chilies, sweet chili sauce, chili sauce, and vinegar. Mix everything together.
  5. Return the crispy chicken to the pan and toss until well coated.
  6. Season with salt to taste and cook for another 2 minutes.
  7. Garnish with chopped green onions and serve hot with rice.

Notes

Don’t skip the marinade for tender chicken. Adjust spiciness by modifying the number of chilies.
