Description
A spicy and crispy chicken dish that is easy to prepare and packs a punch.
Ingredients
- 500g chicken, cut into bite-sized pieces
- 2 tablespoons cornflour
- 1 tablespoon soy sauce
- 1 tablespoon garlic, minced
- 1 tablespoon ginger, minced
- 2 tablespoons oil
- 1 onion, chopped
- 1 bell pepper, chopped
- 2-3 green chilies, slit
- 2 tablespoons sweet chili sauce
- 1 tablespoon chili sauce
- 1 tablespoon vinegar
- Salt to taste
- Chopped green onions for garnish
Instructions
- In a bowl, marinate the chicken pieces with cornflour, soy sauce, garlic, and ginger. Let it sit for at least 30 minutes.
- Heat oil in a pan and fry the marinated chicken pieces until golden and crispy. Remove and set aside.
- In the same pan, add onions and bell peppers. Sauté until soft.
- Add the green chilies, sweet chili sauce, chili sauce, and vinegar. Mix everything together.
- Return the crispy chicken to the pan and toss until well coated.
- Season with salt to taste and cook for another 2 minutes.
- Garnish with chopped green onions and serve hot with rice.
Notes
Don’t skip the marinade for tender chicken. Adjust spiciness by modifying the number of chilies.
