Description

A comforting and creamy beef stroganoff made effortlessly in a crock pot, perfect for weeknight dinners.


Ingredients

  • 2 pounds beef (chuck roast or sirloin), cut into bite-sized pieces
  • 1 onion, chopped
  • 8 ounces mushrooms, sliced
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 2 cups beef broth
  • 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 cup sour cream
  • ¼ cup flour
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Olive oil for searing (optional)
  • Egg noodles, for serving


Instructions

  1. Season beef with salt and pepper.
  2. (Optional) Sear beef in a skillet until browned.
  3. Place beef, onions, mushrooms, and garlic in the crock pot.
  4. Add beef broth and Worcestershire sauce. Stir to combine.
  5. Cover and cook on low for 6-8 hours or high for 3-4 hours.
  6. Once cooked, mix sour cream and flour in a small bowl, then stir into the beef mixture.
  7. Cook for an additional 15 minutes to thicken.
  8. Meanwhile, prepare egg noodles according to package instructions.
  9. Serve beef stroganoff over noodles and enjoy!
