Description

A delicious, low-carb taco pie bursting with savory flavors. Perfect for keto lifestyles and gluten-free diets.


Ingredients

  • 1 lb ground beef (80/20)
  • 3 T taco seasoning
  • 2/3 cup heavy whipping cream
  • 4 large eggs
  • 1/3 cup chunky salsa
  • 1 1/4 cup shredded cheddar cheese
  • 1/2 tsp garlic salt
  • 1/4 tsp ground black pepper


Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F and grease a 9″ pie pan.
  2. Brown the ground beef in a skillet over medium heat, draining excess grease.
  3. Stir in the taco seasoning with the beef and transfer to the greased pie pan.
  4. In a bowl, whisk together heavy cream, eggs, salsa, 1 cup cheese, garlic salt, and black pepper.
  5. Pour the egg mixture over the beef in the pie pan and top with remaining cheese.
  6. Bake uncovered for 35 to 40 minutes until golden brown and set.
  7. Let cool for 5 minutes before serving. Add optional garnishes if desired.
