Description

A hearty and flavorful Crockpot Ground Beef Stroganoff that’s easy to make and perfect for busy days.


Ingredients

  • 1 pound ground beef
  • 1 medium onion, chopped
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 8 ounces mushrooms, sliced
  • 1 cup beef broth
  • 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 teaspoon Dijon mustard
  • 1 teaspoon paprika
  • Salt and pepper, to taste
  • 1 cup sour cream
  • 2 tablespoons all-purpose flour
  • 8 ounces egg noodles
  • Fresh parsley, for garnish
  • Nonstick cooking spray or a little oil


Instructions

  1. Gather all ingredients and prep them for cooking.
  2. Let the ground beef sit at room temperature for 15 minutes.
  3. Chop the onions and mushrooms.
  4. Mince the garlic.
  5. In a large skillet, add the ground beef over medium-high heat and brown for 5-7 minutes.
  6. Drain excess fat and transfer the beef to the crockpot.
  7. Add onions, mushrooms, garlic, Worcestershire sauce, and thyme to the crockpot.
  8. Pour in the beef broth and stir to combine.
  9. Cover and cook on low for 6-8 hours or on high for 3-4 hours.
  10. Cook the egg noodles according to package instructions about 20 minutes before serving.
  11. Stir in the sour cream into the crockpot before serving.
  12. Combine noodles with the beef stroganoff and serve hot, garnished with parsley.

Notes

For a leaner option, substitute ground turkey. You can also use vegetable broth for a vegetarian version.
