Description
A hearty and flavorful Crockpot Ground Beef Stroganoff that’s easy to make and perfect for busy days.
Ingredients
- 1 pound ground beef
- 1 medium onion, chopped
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 8 ounces mushrooms, sliced
- 1 cup beef broth
- 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
- 1 teaspoon Dijon mustard
- 1 teaspoon paprika
- Salt and pepper, to taste
- 1 cup sour cream
- 2 tablespoons all-purpose flour
- 8 ounces egg noodles
- Fresh parsley, for garnish
- Nonstick cooking spray or a little oil
Instructions
- Gather all ingredients and prep them for cooking.
- Let the ground beef sit at room temperature for 15 minutes.
- Chop the onions and mushrooms.
- Mince the garlic.
- In a large skillet, add the ground beef over medium-high heat and brown for 5-7 minutes.
- Drain excess fat and transfer the beef to the crockpot.
- Add onions, mushrooms, garlic, Worcestershire sauce, and thyme to the crockpot.
- Pour in the beef broth and stir to combine.
- Cover and cook on low for 6-8 hours or on high for 3-4 hours.
- Cook the egg noodles according to package instructions about 20 minutes before serving.
- Stir in the sour cream into the crockpot before serving.
- Combine noodles with the beef stroganoff and serve hot, garnished with parsley.
Notes
For a leaner option, substitute ground turkey. You can also use vegetable broth for a vegetarian version.
