A creamy and hearty ground beef stroganoff made effortlessly in a crockpot, perfect for lazy days.
Ingredients
- 1 pound ground beef
- 1 onion, chopped
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 cup mushrooms, sliced
- 2 cups beef broth
- 1 cup sour cream
- 2 tablespoons Worcestershire sauce
- 1 teaspoon paprika
- Salt and pepper to taste
- 8 ounces egg noodles (optional)
Instructions
- In a skillet, brown the ground beef with the onion and garlic. Drain the excess fat.
- Transfer the beef mixture to the slow cooker. Add the sliced mushrooms, beef broth, Worcestershire sauce, paprika, salt, and pepper. Stir to combine.
- Cover and cook on low for 6-8 hours or high for 3-4 hours.
- About 30 minutes before serving, stir in the sour cream and, if desired, toss in the egg noodles.
- Serve warm and enjoy!
Notes
For a lighter version, substitute ground turkey or chicken for the ground beef. Check for alternatives if some ingredients are missing.
