Description

A creamy and hearty ground beef stroganoff made effortlessly in a crockpot, perfect for lazy days.

Ingredients

  • 1 pound ground beef
  • 1 onion, chopped
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 cup mushrooms, sliced
  • 2 cups beef broth
  • 1 cup sour cream
  • 2 tablespoons Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 teaspoon paprika
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 8 ounces egg noodles (optional)

Instructions

  1. In a skillet, brown the ground beef with the onion and garlic. Drain the excess fat.
  2. Transfer the beef mixture to the slow cooker. Add the sliced mushrooms, beef broth, Worcestershire sauce, paprika, salt, and pepper. Stir to combine.
  3. Cover and cook on low for 6-8 hours or high for 3-4 hours.
  4. About 30 minutes before serving, stir in the sour cream and, if desired, toss in the egg noodles.
  5. Serve warm and enjoy!

Notes

For a lighter version, substitute ground turkey or chicken for the ground beef. Check for alternatives if some ingredients are missing.
