Description

Tender beef roast cooked in a savory broth and served on crusty rolls topped with melted cheese.


Ingredients

  • 2-3 lbs beef roast (chuck or sirloin)
  • 1 packet onion soup mix
  • 1 can beef broth (about 15 oz)
  • 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
  • French rolls or baguettes
  • Sliced provolone or Swiss cheese
  • Optional: Sliced onions and bell peppers


Instructions

  1. Place the beef roast in your crockpot.
  2. In a bowl, mix onion soup mix, beef broth, and Worcestershire sauce. Pour this mixture over the roast.
  3. Cover and cook on low for 8 hours or until the beef is super tender.
  4. Shred the beef with two forks.
  5. Serve on French rolls, topped with cheese.
  6. Optional: Serve with a side of warm au jus for dipping.
