Tender beef roast cooked in a savory broth and served on crusty rolls topped with melted cheese.
Ingredients
- 2-3 lbs beef roast (chuck or sirloin)
- 1 packet onion soup mix
- 1 can beef broth (about 15 oz)
- 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
- French rolls or baguettes
- Sliced provolone or Swiss cheese
- Optional: Sliced onions and bell peppers
Instructions
- Place the beef roast in your crockpot.
- In a bowl, mix onion soup mix, beef broth, and Worcestershire sauce. Pour this mixture over the roast.
- Cover and cook on low for 8 hours or until the beef is super tender.
- Shred the beef with two forks.
- Serve on French rolls, topped with cheese.
- Optional: Serve with a side of warm au jus for dipping.
Notes
Avoid skipping the slow cooking time and use fresh bread for the best results.
