Description

Crockpot Crack Chicken combines tender chicken, creamy cheese, and savory bacon for a comforting meal that’s easy to prepare and versatile for any occasion.

Ingredients

  • 2 lbs boneless, skinless chicken breasts
  • 1 (8 oz) package cream cheese, softened
  • 1 packet dry ranch dressing mix
  • 1/4 cup milk or chicken broth
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
  • 1 cup crumbled bacon
  • Chopped green onions, for garnish

Instructions

  1. Lightly grease your crockpot with cooking spray.
  2. Place chicken breasts at the bottom in a single layer.
  3. In a medium bowl, beat cream cheese and ranch dressing mix until smooth. Add milk if necessary to thin.
  4. Spread the creamy mixture over the chicken breasts.
  5. Pour milk or chicken broth over the chicken.
  6. Cover and cook on low for 6 to 8 hours, or on high for 3 to 4 hours.
  7. Once cooked, shred the chicken in the crockpot with two forks.
  8. Stir in shredded cheddar cheese and crumbled bacon until well combined and melted.
  9. Put the lid back on for 5 to 10 minutes to finish melting the cheese.
  10. Garnish with chopped green onions and serve hot.

Notes

For a richer dish, add more cream cheese or a splash of heavy cream. Adjust the spice level by adding jalapeños or hot sauce as desired.
