A delicious and easy-to-prepare crockpot cowboy casserole that cooks itself — just toss in the ingredients and relax.
Ingredients
- 454 g lean ground beef
- 240 ml sweet yellow onions, finely diced
- 15 ml minced garlic
- 454 g dark red kidney beans, undrained
- 400 g frozen hash browns
- 240 ml shredded cheddar cheese
- Salt and pepper to taste
Instructions
- In a skillet, brown the ground beef with the onions and garlic until the beef is cooked through. Drain any excess fat.
- In a large crockpot, layer the cooked beef mixture, kidney beans, and frozen hash browns.
- Season with salt and pepper.
- Cook on low for 6-8 hours or on high for 3-4 hours.
- About 15 minutes before serving, sprinkle shredded cheddar cheese on top and cover until melted.
- Serve hot and enjoy!
