Description

Comforting sautéed mushrooms in a rich creamy garlic and Parmesan sauce, perfect as a side dish or appetizer.

Ingredients

  • 1 pound fresh mushrooms (cremini or button)
  • 4 tablespoons butter
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 1 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • Salt and black pepper to taste
  • Fresh parsley for garnish (optional)

Instructions

  1. Clean the mushrooms by gently wiping them with a damp paper towel or soft mushroom brush.
  2. Slice the mushrooms into even pieces, about a quarter of an inch thick.
  3. Melt the butter in a large skillet over medium heat until bubbly and foamy.
  4. Add the sliced mushrooms and sauté for about 5-7 minutes until golden brown and tender.
  5. Add minced garlic and sauté for an additional minute until fragrant.
  6. Pour in the heavy cream and stir to combine.
  7. Gradually add the grated Parmesan cheese, stirring until melted and creamy.
  8. Season with salt and black pepper to taste.
  9. Transfer to a serving dish and garnish with fresh parsley if desired.

Notes

Use fresh mushrooms for the best flavor and texture. You can store leftovers in an airtight container for 3-4 days in the refrigerator.
