Ingredients
- 1 pound fresh mushrooms (cremini or button)
- 4 tablespoons butter
- 4 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 cup heavy cream
- 1 cup grated Parmesan cheese
- Salt and black pepper to taste
- Fresh parsley for garnish (optional)
Instructions
- Clean the mushrooms by gently wiping them with a damp paper towel or soft mushroom brush.
- Slice the mushrooms into even pieces, about a quarter of an inch thick.
- Melt the butter in a large skillet over medium heat until bubbly and foamy.
- Add the sliced mushrooms and sauté for about 5-7 minutes until golden brown and tender.
- Add minced garlic and sauté for an additional minute until fragrant.
- Pour in the heavy cream and stir to combine.
- Gradually add the grated Parmesan cheese, stirring until melted and creamy.
- Season with salt and black pepper to taste.
- Transfer to a serving dish and garnish with fresh parsley if desired.
Notes
Use fresh mushrooms for the best flavor and texture. You can store leftovers in an airtight container for 3-4 days in the refrigerator.
