Ingredients
- 2 chicken breasts
- 1 cup uncooked rice
- 2 cups chicken broth
- 1 cup heavy cream
- 1 tablespoon butter
- 1 onion, chopped
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- Salt and pepper to taste
- Optional: herbs like thyme or parsley for garnish
Instructions
- Melt butter in a large skillet over medium heat. Add the chopped onion and minced garlic, and sauté until softened.
- Add the chicken breasts and cook until no longer pink, about 5-7 minutes per side.
- Remove the chicken and add chicken broth and rice to the same skillet; bring to a boil.
- Reduce heat, cover, and let simmer for about 15-20 minutes until the rice is cooked.
- Stir in heavy cream and the cooked chicken, mixing gently to combine.
- Season with salt and pepper to taste.
- Serve warm, garnished with herbs if desired.
