Ingredients
- 8 oz pasta (fettuccine or linguine)
- 1 lb shrimp, peeled and deveined
- 2 tbsp Cajun seasoning
- 2 tbsp olive oil
- 1 small onion, chopped
- 3 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 cup heavy cream
- 1/2 cup chicken broth
- 1 cup grated Parmesan cheese
- Salt and pepper to taste
- Fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)
Instructions
- Cook the pasta according to package directions until al dente. Drain and set aside.
- In a large skillet, heat olive oil over medium heat. Add the onion and sauté until translucent.
- Add the garlic and shrimp to the skillet, cooking until the shrimp are pink and opaque.
- Sprinkle the Cajun seasoning over the shrimp and stir well.
- Pour in the chicken broth and bring to a simmer.
- Reduce the heat and stir in the heavy cream and Parmesan cheese until creamy.
- Add the cooked pasta to the skillet and toss to coat.
- Season with salt and pepper to taste.
- Garnish with fresh parsley before serving.
Notes
For added flavor, let the shrimp marinate in the Cajun seasoning for 15-20 minutes before cooking. Don’t overcook the shrimp; they just need to be pink and opaque to be perfectly tender.
