Description

A comforting dish that combines the spicy kick of Cajun seasoning with a rich and smooth sauce, perfect for family dinners or special gatherings.

Ingredients

  • 2 chicken breasts
  • 2 tablespoons Cajun seasoning
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 1 cup chicken broth
  • 1 cup bell peppers, sliced
  • 1 small onion, chopped
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Fresh parsley for garnish

Instructions

  1. Season the chicken breasts with Cajun seasoning.
  2. In a skillet, heat olive oil over medium heat and add the chicken. Cook until browned on both sides and cooked through.
  3. Remove the chicken and set aside.
  4. In the same skillet, add the onions and bell peppers, sautéing until softened.
  5. Pour in the chicken broth and heavy cream, stirring to combine.
  6. Return the chicken to the skillet and let it simmer for a few minutes.
  7. Season with salt and pepper.
  8. Serve warm, garnished with fresh parsley.

Notes

Adjust Cajun seasoning according to taste and consider adding other vegetables like zucchini or mushrooms. For a lighter version, you can substitute half-and-half for heavy cream.
