A quick and tasty creamy beef stroganoff that delivers comfort food without the fuss.
Ingredients
- 1 lb beef sirloin, cut into thin strips
- 12 oz egg noodles
- 8 oz fresh mushrooms, sliced
- 1 small onion, finely chopped
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 cup sour cream
- 1 1/2 cups beef broth
- 2 tbsp all-purpose flour
- 1 tsp paprika
- 2 tbsp butter
- 1/2 tsp salt, adjust to taste
- 1/2 tsp black pepper, freshly cracked
Instructions
- Melt butter in a large skillet over medium heat. Add chopped onion and garlic, cooking until translucent.
- Stir in sliced mushrooms and cook until softened. Add beef strips, season with salt and pepper, and brown on all sides.
- Sprinkle flour over the mixture, stirring well. Gradually add beef broth, stirring continuously until thickened (about 5 minutes).
- Remove from heat and whisk in sour cream until smooth. Adjust seasoning with salt and pepper.
- Cook egg noodles according to package instructions; drain. Toss with a little butter or olive oil.
- Toss cooked noodles with the sauce until evenly coated. Serve warm and enjoy.
