Description
A quick and easy creamy beef stroganoff that’s perfect for impressing guests or a cozy night in.
Ingredients
- 1 pound beef sirloin, sliced
- 1 onion, chopped
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 8 ounces mushrooms, sliced
- 1 cup beef broth
- 1 cup sour cream
- 2 tablespoons flour
- 2 tablespoons butter
- Salt and pepper to taste
- Cooked egg noodles or rice for serving
Instructions
- In a large skillet, melt butter over medium heat. Toss in the onions and garlic, sauté until soft.
- Add in the sliced beef and cook until nicely browned.
- Stir in the mushrooms and let them cook until releasing moisture.
- Sprinkle flour over the mixture and stir to combine.
- Gradually add beef broth, stirring constantly until sauce thickens.
- Remove skillet from heat and stir in sour cream until creamy.
- Season with salt and pepper to taste.
- Serve over cooked egg noodles or rice.
Notes
Feel free to substitute with chicken or use Greek yogurt instead of sour cream.
