Description

A quick and easy creamy beef stroganoff that’s perfect for impressing guests or a cozy night in.


Ingredients

  • 1 pound beef sirloin, sliced
  • 1 onion, chopped
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 8 ounces mushrooms, sliced
  • 1 cup beef broth
  • 1 cup sour cream
  • 2 tablespoons flour
  • 2 tablespoons butter
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Cooked egg noodles or rice for serving


Instructions

  1. In a large skillet, melt butter over medium heat. Toss in the onions and garlic, sauté until soft.
  2. Add in the sliced beef and cook until nicely browned.
  3. Stir in the mushrooms and let them cook until releasing moisture.
  4. Sprinkle flour over the mixture and stir to combine.
  5. Gradually add beef broth, stirring constantly until sauce thickens.
  6. Remove skillet from heat and stir in sour cream until creamy.
  7. Season with salt and pepper to taste.
  8. Serve over cooked egg noodles or rice.

Notes

Feel free to substitute with chicken or use Greek yogurt instead of sour cream.
