Description

A creamy and comforting Beef Stroganoff that’s perfect for quick weeknight dinners.

Ingredients

  • 1 pound beef sirloin, sliced into strips
  • 1 onion, chopped
  • 2 cups mushrooms, sliced
  • 2 tablespoons flour
  • 1 cup beef broth
  • 1 cup sour cream
  • 2 tablespoons Worcestershire sauce
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Egg noodles, for serving
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil

Instructions

  1. Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat. Add the onions and sauté until translucent.
  2. Add the sliced beef to the pan and cook until browned.
  3. Stir in the mushrooms and cook until softened.
  4. Sprinkle flour over the mixture and stir to coat.
  5. Gradually add the beef broth while stirring, then bring to a simmer.
  6. Toss in the Worcestershire sauce, salt, and pepper, and let simmer for about 5 minutes.
  7. Remove from heat and stir in the sour cream until well combined.
  8. Serve over cooked egg noodles.

Notes

You can substitute chicken or use Greek yogurt instead of sour cream. Avoid overcooking the noodles.
