Description
A creamy and comforting Beef Stroganoff that’s perfect for quick weeknight dinners.
Ingredients
- 1 pound beef sirloin, sliced into strips
- 1 onion, chopped
- 2 cups mushrooms, sliced
- 2 tablespoons flour
- 1 cup beef broth
- 1 cup sour cream
- 2 tablespoons Worcestershire sauce
- Salt and pepper to taste
- Egg noodles, for serving
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
Instructions
- Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat. Add the onions and sauté until translucent.
- Add the sliced beef to the pan and cook until browned.
- Stir in the mushrooms and cook until softened.
- Sprinkle flour over the mixture and stir to coat.
- Gradually add the beef broth while stirring, then bring to a simmer.
- Toss in the Worcestershire sauce, salt, and pepper, and let simmer for about 5 minutes.
- Remove from heat and stir in the sour cream until well combined.
- Serve over cooked egg noodles.
Notes
You can substitute chicken or use Greek yogurt instead of sour cream. Avoid overcooking the noodles.
