Description

A quick and delicious creamy beef stroganoff that comes together with minimal effort, perfect for impressing guests or enjoying a cozy night in.


Ingredients

  • 1 lb beef sirloin, sliced
  • 8 oz mushrooms, sliced
  • 1 medium onion, chopped
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 cup sour cream
  • 2 cups beef broth
  • 2 tbsp flour
  • 2 tbsp olive oil
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Noodles or rice for serving


Instructions

  1. In a large skillet, heat olive oil over medium heat.
  2. Add the sliced beef and cook until browned, about 3-4 minutes.
  3. Remove the beef and set it aside.
  4. In the same skillet, add the onions, garlic, and mushrooms. Cook until softened.
  5. Stir in the flour and cook for 1 minute.
  6. Gradually add in the beef broth, stirring constantly until the sauce thickens.
  7. Reduce the heat and stir in the sour cream.
  8. Return the beef to the skillet, mix well, and season with salt and pepper.
  9. Serve over noodles or rice.

Notes

Make sure to use room temperature beef for even cooking. Taste while cooking to adjust seasoning.
