A quick and delicious creamy beef stroganoff that comes together with minimal effort, perfect for impressing guests or enjoying a cozy night in.
Ingredients
- 1 lb beef sirloin, sliced
- 8 oz mushrooms, sliced
- 1 medium onion, chopped
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 cup sour cream
- 2 cups beef broth
- 2 tbsp flour
- 2 tbsp olive oil
- Salt and pepper to taste
- Noodles or rice for serving
Instructions
- In a large skillet, heat olive oil over medium heat.
- Add the sliced beef and cook until browned, about 3-4 minutes.
- Remove the beef and set it aside.
- In the same skillet, add the onions, garlic, and mushrooms. Cook until softened.
- Stir in the flour and cook for 1 minute.
- Gradually add in the beef broth, stirring constantly until the sauce thickens.
- Reduce the heat and stir in the sour cream.
- Return the beef to the skillet, mix well, and season with salt and pepper.
- Serve over noodles or rice.
Notes
Make sure to use room temperature beef for even cooking. Taste while cooking to adjust seasoning.
