Description

A rich and creamy tortellini dish with seared steak and aromatic garlic.


Ingredients

  • 20 oz cheese tortellini
  • 1 lb steak (sirloin or ribeye)
  • Salt
  • Black pepper
  • Garlic powder
  • Smoked paprika
  • 2 tbsp olive oil
  • 4 tbsp butter
  • 5 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 3/4 cup whole milk
  • 1 1/4 cups parmesan, shredded or freshly grated
  • Parsley, chopped (optional)
  • Red pepper flakes (optional)
  • Cracked black pepper (optional garnish)


Instructions

  1. Boil water in a large pot and cook the tortellini according to package instructions.
  2. Season steak with salt, black pepper, garlic powder, and smoked paprika.
  3. Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Sear the steak for 4-5 minutes on each side.
  4. Transfer steak to a plate and let it rest.
  5. In the same skillet, sauté minced garlic for about 30 seconds.
  6. Add butter, heavy cream, and whole milk, stirring to combine.
  7. Gradually stir in parmesan cheese until melted.
  8. Drain tortellini and mix with the creamy sauce.
  9. Slice the rested steak and serve on top of the tortellini. Garnish with parsley if desired.

For extra flavor, consider adding spinach or sun-dried tomatoes.
