Description
A quick and creamy chicken penne dish that combines comfort and flavor without spending too much time in the kitchen.
Ingredients
- 2 pieces Boneless and skinless Chicken Breast
- 1 teaspoon Salt
- 1 teaspoon Black Pepper
- 1 teaspoon Garlic Powder
- 1 teaspoon Onion Powder
- 1 teaspoon Paprika
- 1 teaspoon Dried Oregano
- 1 teaspoon Dried Basil
- 2 tablespoons Olive Oil
- 12 oz Penne Pasta
- 2 tablespoons Unsalted Butter
- 1 cup Heavy Cream
- 1/2 cup Freshly grated Parmesan Cheese
- 2 tablespoons Fresh Parsley (for garnish)
Instructions
- Boil a large pot of salted water and cook the penne according to package instructions. Drain and set aside.
- While the pasta is cooking, season chicken breasts with salt, black pepper, garlic powder, onion powder, paprika, oregano, and basil.
- Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat. Add the seasoned chicken and cook for about 5-7 minutes on each side or until golden brown and cooked through.
- Remove the chicken from the skillet and let it rest. In the same skillet, add the butter and melt.
- Slowly pour in the heavy cream and bring to a simmer.
- Reduce heat, add the parmesan cheese, and stir until melted.
- Slice the chicken and return it to the skillet along with the drained pasta. Mix until pasta is coated.
- Garnish with chopped parsley and serve.
Notes
Use fresh ingredients for the best flavor. If you want a veggie version, substitute chicken for tofu or chickpeas and use coconut milk instead of heavy cream.
