Description

A mouthwatering dish featuring BBQ sauce, chicken, bacon, and melty cheddar cheese, perfect for a fancy dinner without the fuss.

Ingredients

  • 4 boneless, skinless chicken breasts
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1 teaspoon smoked paprika
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
  • 8 slices bacon
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
  • 1/2 cup barbecue sauce
  • 1/4 cup green onions, chopped
  • 1/2 teaspoon red pepper flakes (optional)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 400°F.
  2. Heat a large skillet over medium heat and cook the bacon until crispy, 5-7 minutes.
  3. Remove the bacon and drain excess grease on paper towels.
  4. Crumble the bacon into small pieces.
  5. Rub olive oil on both sides of each chicken breast.
  6. Sprinkle garlic powder, onion powder, smoked paprika, salt, and black pepper evenly over the chicken.
  7. Heat a large oven-safe skillet on medium-high heat and add the chicken, cooking for 4-5 minutes on each side.
  8. Pour the barbecue sauce over the chicken.
  9. Sprinkle shredded cheddar cheese over the chicken.
  10. Crumble the cooked bacon over the cheese.
  11. Transfer the skillet to the preheated oven and bake for 10-12 minutes, until the chicken is cooked and cheese is melted.
  12. Remove from oven and sprinkle with chopped green onions.
  13. Allow to rest for a few minutes before serving.

Notes

For added heat, sprinkle red pepper flakes over the chicken before serving. Serve with fries or salad.
