Description

Crispy, juicy, and downright delicious Country Fried Chicken Breast that’s perfect for a comforting meal.


Ingredients

  • 4 chicken breasts
  • 1 cup buttermilk
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 teaspoon paprika
  • 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
  • Vegetable oil for frying
  • Gravy (for serving)
  • Mashed potatoes (for serving)
  • Green beans (for serving)


Instructions

  1. Marinate chicken breasts in buttermilk for at least 1 hour, or overnight.
  2. In a shallow bowl, mix together flour, salt, pepper, paprika, and garlic powder.
  3. Heat oil in a large skillet over medium heat.
  4. Remove chicken from buttermilk and coat each piece in the flour mixture.
  5. Carefully place chicken in the hot oil and cook for about 6 minutes on each side, or until golden brown.
  6. Remove chicken from skillet and drain on paper towels.
  7. Serve hot with gravy, mashed potatoes, and green beans.
