Description

A comforting and easy-to-make Beef Stroganoff served over tender egg noodles, perfect for impressing friends without hours in the kitchen.

Ingredients

  • 1 pound beef sirloin, cut into strips
  • 1 medium onion, diced
  • 2 cups mushrooms, sliced
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 2 tablespoons all-purpose flour
  • 1 cup beef broth
  • 1 cup sour cream
  • 2 tablespoons Worcestershire sauce
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 8 ounces egg noodles
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • Fresh parsley, chopped

Instructions

  1. Heat the olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat. Season the beef strips with salt and pepper, and cook until browned. Remove the beef and set aside.
  2. In the same skillet, add onion and garlic, sauté until softened.
  3. Add sliced mushrooms and cook until they release their moisture.
  4. Stir in the flour, then add beef broth and Worcestershire sauce. Bring to a simmer.
  5. Reduce heat, stir in sour cream, and return beef to the skillet.
  6. Cook egg noodles according to package instructions. Drain and serve beef mixture over the noodles. Garnish with fresh parsley.

Notes

For a vegetarian version, substitute beef with mushrooms or chicken. Greek yogurt can replace sour cream.
