A stunning dessert combining meringue, whipped cream, and mixed berries, perfect for holiday celebrations.
Ingredients
- 4 Egg whites
- 1 cup Granulated sugar
- 1 cup Heavy cream
- 1 tsp Vanilla extract
- 2 cups Mixed berries (strawberries, blueberries, raspberries)
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 225°F (107°C).
- Whip egg whites until soft peaks form, about 3–5 minutes.
- Gradually add sugar while whipping until stiff peaks form, about 5 more minutes.
- Spoon meringue onto a lined baking sheet and shape it into a circle. Bake for 1-1.5 hours until crispy. Cool completely.
- In a separate bowl, whip cream with vanilla and sugar until soft peaks form.
- Break the cooled meringue into pieces. Layer meringue, whipped cream, and mixed berries in a trifle dish. Repeat layers and finish with whipped cream and berries on top.
- Cover and chill in the refrigerator for at least 1 hour before serving.
Notes
Use room temperature eggs for best results. Chill your mixing bowl for better whipped cream consistency.
