Description

A rich and creamy Chicken Stroganoff that’s a comforting dish for any dinner table, perfect for family meals or entertaining friends.


Ingredients

  • 2 chicken breasts, sliced
  • 1 cup mushrooms, sliced
  • 1 onion, chopped
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 cup sour cream
  • 1 cup chicken broth
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 1 tablespoon flour
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Egg noodles or rice for serving


Instructions

  1. Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium heat. Add the sliced chicken and cook until browned. Remove from the skillet and set aside.
  2. In the same skillet, add the onions and garlic; sauté until the onions are translucent.
  3. Add the mushrooms and cook until soft.
  4. Sprinkle the flour over the mixture and stir to combine.
  5. Slowly add the chicken broth while stirring, allowing it to thicken.
  6. Reduce the heat and stir in the sour cream until combined.
  7. Return the chicken to the skillet and cook until heated through.
  8. Season with salt and pepper to taste.
  9. Serve over cooked egg noodles or rice.

Notes

For longer storage, freeze in an airtight container for up to 2 months. To reheat, thaw overnight in the fridge and heat in a saucepan or microwave.
