Description
A creamy, cheesy pasta dish with chicken and garlic, ready in under 30 minutes.
Ingredients
- 2 tbsp olive oil
- 1 1/2 lb chicken breast
- 1 1/2 tsp paprika
- 1 1/2 tsp oregano
- 1 tsp garlic powder
- 1/2 tsp thyme
- 1/2 tsp black pepper
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 12 oz gluten-free farfalle pasta
- 4 tbsp butter
- 2 tsp dry shallots
- 2 tsp Italian seasoning
- 1/2 cup chicken broth
- 2 tbsp gluten-free 1:1 flour
- 3 cups heavy cream
- 12 oz shredded parmesan
- 1/4 cup pasta water
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 1 tsp garlic powder
Instructions
- Boil pasta according to package instructions for al dente.
- Mix all chicken seasonings in a bowl.
- Pound the chicken slightly to thin it out.
- Season both sides of the chicken with the spice mix.
- Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat.
- Sear the chicken for about 5 minutes on each side.
- Lower heat and cover to cook for an additional 10-12 minutes until internal temperature reaches 165°F.
- Remove chicken and set aside.
- Melt butter in the skillet.
- Add shallots, garlic powder, and Italian seasoning to the melted butter and simmer for 1 minute.
- Incorporate flour and stir, scraping the bottom of the pan.
- Pour in chicken broth and heavy cream, whisking until smooth.
- Add parmesan cheese and stir until melted.
- Simmer until desired consistency.
- Add cooked pasta and toss to coat.
- If sauce is too thick, add pasta water gradually.
- Slice the chicken and combine with pasta. Serve and enjoy!
Notes
Feel free to substitute chicken with shrimp or tofu, and use different types of pasta if desired.
