A creamy, cheesy pasta dish with chicken and garlic, ready in under 30 minutes.

Ingredients

  • 2 tbsp olive oil
  • 1 1/2 lb chicken breast
  • 1 1/2 tsp paprika
  • 1 1/2 tsp oregano
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • 1/2 tsp thyme
  • 1/2 tsp black pepper
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 12 oz gluten-free farfalle pasta
  • 4 tbsp butter
  • 2 tsp dry shallots
  • 2 tsp Italian seasoning
  • 1/2 cup chicken broth
  • 2 tbsp gluten-free 1:1 flour
  • 3 cups heavy cream
  • 12 oz shredded parmesan
  • 1/4 cup pasta water
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1 tsp garlic powder

Instructions

  1. Boil pasta according to package instructions for al dente.
  2. Mix all chicken seasonings in a bowl.
  3. Pound the chicken slightly to thin it out.
  4. Season both sides of the chicken with the spice mix.
  5. Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat.
  6. Sear the chicken for about 5 minutes on each side.
  7. Lower heat and cover to cook for an additional 10-12 minutes until internal temperature reaches 165°F.
  8. Remove chicken and set aside.
  9. Melt butter in the skillet.
  10. Add shallots, garlic powder, and Italian seasoning to the melted butter and simmer for 1 minute.
  11. Incorporate flour and stir, scraping the bottom of the pan.
  12. Pour in chicken broth and heavy cream, whisking until smooth.
  13. Add parmesan cheese and stir until melted.
  14. Simmer until desired consistency.
  15. Add cooked pasta and toss to coat.
  16. If sauce is too thick, add pasta water gradually.
  17. Slice the chicken and combine with pasta. Serve and enjoy!

Notes

Feel free to substitute chicken with shrimp or tofu, and use different types of pasta if desired.
