Description
A quick and easy cheesy steak and rice skillet recipe perfect for busy days. This dish is deliciously filling and ready in just about 30 minutes.
Ingredients
- 1 lb steak, cubed
- 1 cup rice
- 2 cups beef broth
- 2 cups shredded cheese (cheddar or your choice)
- 1 onion, diced
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- Salt and pepper to taste
- Olive oil for cooking
Instructions
- In a large skillet, heat olive oil over medium heat. Add the cubed steak and season with salt and pepper. Sear until browned.
- Remove the steak and set it aside. In the same skillet, toss in the onions and garlic. Sauté until translucent.
- Add the rice and pour in the beef broth. Bring it to a boil.
- Reduce heat to low, cover, and let it simmer until cooked, about 15 to 20 minutes.
- Stir the steak back into the rice and top with cheese.
- Cover and let sit for a few minutes until the cheese melts.
- Serve warm and enjoy!
