Description

A quick and easy cheesy steak and rice skillet recipe perfect for busy days. This dish is deliciously filling and ready in just about 30 minutes.


Ingredients

  • 1 lb steak, cubed
  • 1 cup rice
  • 2 cups beef broth
  • 2 cups shredded cheese (cheddar or your choice)
  • 1 onion, diced
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Olive oil for cooking


Instructions

  1. In a large skillet, heat olive oil over medium heat. Add the cubed steak and season with salt and pepper. Sear until browned.
  2. Remove the steak and set it aside. In the same skillet, toss in the onions and garlic. Sauté until translucent.
  3. Add the rice and pour in the beef broth. Bring it to a boil.
  4. Reduce heat to low, cover, and let it simmer until cooked, about 15 to 20 minutes.
  5. Stir the steak back into the rice and top with cheese.
  6. Cover and let sit for a few minutes until the cheese melts.
  7. Serve warm and enjoy!
