Description

A comforting and flavorful weeknight meal that combines spicy sausage, aromatic veggies, and creamy pasta in just 30 minutes.


Ingredients

  • 8 oz pasta (penne or your choice)
  • 1 lb smoked sausage (sliced)
  • 1 bell pepper (diced)
  • 1 onion (diced)
  • 3 cloves garlic (minced)
  • 1 tbsp Cajun seasoning
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 1 cup shredded cheese (cheddar or mozzarella)
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Olive oil
  • Fresh parsley (for garnish)


Instructions

  1. In a large pot, heat olive oil over medium heat.
  2. Add the sliced sausage and cook until browned, about 5 minutes.
  3. Toss in the bell pepper, onion, and garlic; sauté until softened.
  4. Stir in the Cajun seasoning.
  5. Add the pasta and enough water to cover everything; bring it to a boil.
  6. Reduce heat and simmer until pasta is cooked, about 10-12 minutes.
  7. Stir in the heavy cream and cheese until melted; season with salt and pepper.
  8. Serve hot, garnished with fresh parsley.
