An ultra-moist and fluffy cake recipe that’s perfect for any occasion, easy to make and outrageously delicious.
Ingredients
- 2 cups of all-purpose flour
- 1 cup of granulated sugar
- 1/2 cup of unsalted butter, softened
- 1 cup of buttermilk
- 2 large eggs
- 2 tsp of baking powder
- 1 tsp of baking soda
- 1 tsp of vanilla extract
- A pinch of salt
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
- Grease your baking pan.
- Cream together the softened butter and sugar until light and fluffy.
- Add the eggs one at a time, beating well after each addition.
- Mix in the vanilla extract.
- In another bowl, whisk together the flour, baking powder, baking soda, and salt.
- Alternate adding the dry ingredients and buttermilk to the wet mixture, beginning with the dry ingredients.
- Pour batter into the greased pan and smooth the top.
- Bake for 25 to 30 minutes or until a toothpick comes out clean.
- Let it cool for a few minutes before removing from the pan. Serve and enjoy!
Notes
For a different flavor, you can substitute buttermilk with regular milk plus a tablespoon of vinegar or lemon juice. Feel free to add chocolate chips for extra yum!
