Description

An ultra-moist and fluffy cake recipe that’s perfect for any occasion, easy to make and outrageously delicious.


Ingredients

  • 2 cups of all-purpose flour
  • 1 cup of granulated sugar
  • 1/2 cup of unsalted butter, softened
  • 1 cup of buttermilk
  • 2 large eggs
  • 2 tsp of baking powder
  • 1 tsp of baking soda
  • 1 tsp of vanilla extract
  • A pinch of salt


Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Grease your baking pan.
  3. Cream together the softened butter and sugar until light and fluffy.
  4. Add the eggs one at a time, beating well after each addition.
  5. Mix in the vanilla extract.
  6. In another bowl, whisk together the flour, baking powder, baking soda, and salt.
  7. Alternate adding the dry ingredients and buttermilk to the wet mixture, beginning with the dry ingredients.
  8. Pour batter into the greased pan and smooth the top.
  9. Bake for 25 to 30 minutes or until a toothpick comes out clean.
  10. Let it cool for a few minutes before removing from the pan. Serve and enjoy!

Notes

For a different flavor, you can substitute buttermilk with regular milk plus a tablespoon of vinegar or lemon juice. Feel free to add chocolate chips for extra yum!
