Description

Delightful baked apple fritters made with soft, cinnamon-spiced apples and sweet glaze, perfect for breakfast, snack, or dessert.

Ingredients

  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 2 large eggs
  • 2 medium apples, peeled and diced
  • 1/2 cup granulated sugar
  • 1/2 cup milk
  • 2 tsp baking powder
  • 1 tsp ground cinnamon
  • 1/4 tsp salt
  • 2 tbsp unsalted butter, melted
  • 1/2 cup powdered sugar (for glaze)
  • 1-2 tbsp milk (for glaze)

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. In a large bowl, whisk together flour, baking powder, cinnamon, salt, and granulated sugar.
  3. In a separate bowl, whisk eggs, milk, and melted butter. Pour the wet ingredients into the dry ingredients and mix until just combined.
  4. Fold in the diced apples. Drop heaping spoonfuls of batter onto the prepared baking sheet, spacing them about 2 inches apart.
  5. Bake for 16-18 minutes, or until fritters are golden brown and a toothpick inserted comes out clean.
  6. While fritters cool slightly, mix powdered sugar with milk to create the glaze. Drizzle glaze over warm fritters before serving.

Notes

Store leftover fritters in an airtight container for up to a day at room temperature or up to 3 days in the refrigerator. They can be frozen for up to a month.
