Description
A quick and easy Hamburger Stroganoff that combines creamy noodles with savory beef for a comforting meal.
Ingredients
- 6 ounces Egg Noodles
- 1 pound Ground Beef
- ¼ cup Butter
- ¼ cup Flour
- 1 cup Beef Broth
- 1 ¼ cups Milk
- ½ teaspoon Garlic Powder
- ½ teaspoon Onion Powder
- 1 teaspoon Pepper
- 1 teaspoon Salt
- ¼ cup Sour Cream
Instructions
- Boil water in a large pot. Add the egg noodles and cook according to package instructions until al dente. Drain and set aside.
- Heat a large skillet over medium heat. Add the ground beef, breaking it up with a spoon, until fully browned (about 6 to 8 minutes). Drain excess fat.
- Melt butter in the same skillet. Whisk in flour for about 2 minutes to create a roux.
- Gradually pour in beef broth while whisking to prevent lumps. Whisk until thickened (3 to 4 minutes). Then add milk, stirring until creamy (5 to 7 minutes).
- Add garlic powder, onion powder, pepper, and salt, and mix well.
- Reduce heat to low. Stir in cooked noodles and browned beef until heated through.
- Gently stir in sour cream until fully incorporated. Serve hot, optionally garnished with veggies or garlic toast.
Notes
Drain the fat from the beef to avoid a greasy dish. Always taste as you go for the best flavor.
