A quick and delicious beef stroganoff recipe that you can whip up in just 30 minutes, perfect for a cozy dinner.
Ingredients
- 1 pound beef sirloin, cut into thin strips
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- 1 medium onion, sliced
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 8 ounces mushrooms, sliced
- 1 cup beef broth
- 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
- 1 cup sour cream
- Salt and pepper to taste
- Fresh parsley for garnish (optional)
Instructions
- Prep the beef by cutting it into thin strips.
- Heat the olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat.
- Add beef strips, season with salt and pepper, and let brown for 3-4 minutes.
- Add sliced onions and minced garlic; cook for another 2-3 minutes.
- Add sliced mushrooms and cook for another 3-4 minutes until tender.
- Pour in beef broth and Worcestershire sauce, bring to a simmer, and let bubble for 5 minutes.
- Remove from heat and stir in sour cream until creamy.
- Serve over egg noodles or rice, and garnish with parsley if desired.
Notes
For alternatives, chicken or mushrooms can be used instead of beef. Greek yogurt can substitute sour cream.
