Ingredients
- 1 lb beef steak (cut into strips)
- 1 cup mushrooms (sliced)
- 1 onion (sliced)
- 2 cups sour cream
- 2 tablespoons flour
- 2 tablespoons butter
- 1 cup beef broth
- Salt and pepper to taste
- Cooked egg noodles or rice (for serving)
Instructions
- In a large skillet, melt butter over medium heat. Add sliced onions and cook until translucent.
- Add the mushrooms and cook until browned.
- Stir in the beef strips and cook until browned.
- Sprinkle flour over the mixture and stir to coat.
- Gradually add beef broth and mix until smooth.
- Reduce heat and stir in the sour cream; cook until heated through.
- Season with salt and pepper to taste.
- Serve over cooked egg noodles or rice.
Notes
For a healthy twist, substitute Greek yogurt for sour cream. Refrigerate leftovers for up to 4 days or freeze for 2 months.
