A creamy and savory beef stroganoff made effortlessly in a crockpot, perfect for busy nights.
Ingredients
- 1 pound beef stew meat, cubed
- 1 onion, chopped
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 cup mushrooms, sliced
- 1 can (10.5 oz) cream of mushroom soup
- 1 cup beef broth
- 1 teaspoon Worcestershire sauce
- 1 cup sour cream
- Salt and pepper to taste
Instructions
- Brown the beef cubes in a skillet over medium heat for 5 minutes.
- Add the chopped onion and garlic to the skillet and cook for another 2 minutes.
- Transfer the beef mixture to the crockpot.
- Add mushrooms, cream of mushroom soup, beef broth, and Worcestershire sauce to the crockpot.
- Stir well and cook on low for 6-8 hours or on high for 4 hours.
- Stir in sour cream during the last 30 minutes of cooking.
- Season with salt and pepper to taste before serving.
- Serve over egg noodles or rice.
