A comforting, easy casserole dish combining beef, noodles, and creamy sauce, perfect for busy nights.
Ingredients
- 1 pound ground beef
- 1 medium onion, chopped
- 2 cups mushrooms, sliced
- 2 cups egg noodles
- 1 can (10.5 oz) cream of mushroom soup
- 1 cup sour cream
- 1 cup beef broth
- 2 tablespoons Worcestershire sauce
- Salt and pepper to taste
- 1 cup shredded cheese (optional)
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
- In a skillet over medium heat, cook the ground beef and onion until the beef is browned.
- Add the mushrooms and cook for another 3 to 4 minutes until softened.
- In a large bowl, combine the cooked beef mixture, egg noodles, cream of mushroom soup, sour cream, beef broth, Worcestershire sauce, and salt and pepper.
- Pour the mixture into a greased casserole dish.
- Sprinkle the cheese on top if desired.
- Bake for 25 to 30 minutes or until bubbly and heated through.
- Let it cool for a few minutes before serving.
Notes
You can prep this casserole ahead of time and store it in the fridge until ready to bake.
