Description

A quick and creamy beef stroganoff recipe with tender beef and savory mushrooms, perfect for a comforting meal in under 30 minutes.


Ingredients

  • 1 lb beef sirloin, sliced into strips
  • 1 cup mushrooms, sliced
  • 1 onion, chopped
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 cup beef broth
  • 1 cup sour cream
  • 2 tbsp flour
  • 2 tbsp olive oil
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Egg noodles or rice for serving


Instructions

  1. In a large skillet, heat olive oil over medium heat. Add onions and garlic, and sauté until translucent.
  2. Add the beef and cook until browned. Remove beef from the skillet and set aside.
  3. In the same skillet, add mushrooms and cook until tender.
  4. Sprinkle flour over the mushrooms and stir to combine. Cook for 1-2 minutes.
  5. Slowly add beef broth, stirring constantly until the mixture thickens.
  6. Reduce heat and stir in sour cream.
  7. Return the beef to the skillet and mix until well coated.
  8. Season with salt and pepper to taste.
  9. Serve over egg noodles or rice.

Notes

For a lighter version, try using chicken instead of beef. You can also make it dairy-free with coconut yogurt.
