Description

A cozy, creamy Beef Stroganoff that cooks itself in a slow cooker, perfect for impressing guests with minimal effort.

Ingredients

  • 1 pound beef sirloin, sliced into strips
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 1 onion, chopped
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 8 ounces mushrooms, sliced
  • 1 cup beef broth
  • 1 cup homemade condensed cream of mushroom soup
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 cup sour cream
  • Cooked egg noodles or rice for serving
  • Fresh parsley for garnish

Instructions

  1. In a slow cooker, heat olive oil and add the sliced beef. Cook until browned.
  2. Add chopped onion, minced garlic, and sliced mushrooms to the slow cooker.
  3. Pour in beef broth and add the homemade condensed cream of mushroom soup. Season with salt, pepper, and Worcestershire sauce.
  4. Stir everything together to combine.
  5. Cover and cook on low for 6-8 hours or on high for 3-4 hours.
  6. Once cooked, stir in the sour cream and heat through.
  7. Serve over cooked egg noodles or rice and garnish with fresh parsley.

Notes

Avoid overcooking the sour cream by stirring it in gently. Let the dish rest for five minutes before serving for the best texture.
