A comforting and delicious Beef Stroganoff featuring tender pieces of beef in a savory mushroom sauce over egg noodles.
Ingredients
- 1 pound beef sirloin, sliced
- 1 onion, chopped
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 8 ounces mushrooms, sliced
- 2 cups egg noodles
- 1 cup beef broth
- 1 cup sour cream
- 2 tablespoons flour
- Salt and pepper to taste
- Olive oil for cooking
Instructions
- In a large skillet, heat olive oil over medium heat.
- Add the sliced beef and cook until browned. Remove the beef from the skillet and set aside.
- In the same skillet, sauté the chopped onion, minced garlic, and sliced mushrooms until tender.
- Sprinkle the flour over the mixture and stir to combine.
- Gradually add the beef broth, stirring constantly until the sauce thickens.
- Reduce the heat and stir in the sour cream. Return the reserved beef back to the skillet.
- Cook the egg noodles according to the package instructions.
- Serve the Beef Stroganoff over the noodles, seasoning with salt and pepper to taste.
