Description

A creamy and savory beef stroganoff that’s easy to make for a cozy dinner at home.


Ingredients

  • 1 lb beef sirloin, sliced thinly
  • 8 oz mushrooms, sliced
  • 1 medium onion, chopped
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 cup beef broth
  • 1 cup sour cream
  • 2 tablespoons flour
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Egg noodles or rice for serving
  • Olive oil for cooking


Instructions

  1. In a large skillet, heat olive oil over medium-high heat. Add the sliced beef and cook until browned, about 5 minutes. Remove from skillet and set aside.
  2. In the same skillet, add the onions and garlic. Sauté until softened.
  3. Add the mushrooms and cook until tender, about 3 to 5 minutes.
  4. Sprinkle flour over the mushroom mixture and stir to combine.
  5. Gradually add in the beef broth, stirring constantly until thickened.
  6. Reduce heat and stir in the sour cream until well combined.
  7. Return the beef to the skillet and let it heat through.
  8. Season with salt and pepper to taste.
  9. Serve over cooked egg noodles or rice.

Notes

Avoid overcooking the beef and use room temperature sour cream for best results.
